WHAT IS DMK?
ENZYME THERAPY is DMK’s world renowned, signature skin revision treatment designed to rapidly restore the health and natural functioning of your skin cells enabling them to perform just as they did when they were younger. HOW DMK WORKS
Our enzyme masques are capable of tightening the skin progressively and removing impurities from the skin cells by a process known as reverse osmosis.
Reverse osmosis
Reverse osmosis is a “back-flushing” action that forces fluids through the membrane around the cells, cleaning out all impurities (Lipofuscin) and leaving behind a clean, white substance. Lipofuscin is a free radical substance, created by sun damage or other trauma to the skin.

THE FACIAL MUSCLES
The enzyme treatment stimulates facial muscles enabling them to become stronger, providing a more youthful appearance.
The tightening action of the enzyme treatment has the effect of exercising the facial muscles. This tones and tightens the facial muscles without having to physically exercise them yourself. The result is firmer, smoother, tighter skin.
THE BLOOD VESSELS
Your skin is dependent on a rich supply of blood and healthy, properly functioning blood vessels to transport the blood to the skin cells. Your face, in particular, has many blood vessels.
DMK Enzyme treatments act on the blood vessels by causing them to become dilated, which allows a greater supply of oxygen rich blood to flow to the skin in order to nourish it.
The back flushing action of the enzyme treatments remove impurities and stimulate the lymphatic system.
THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
The lymphatic system of the body is the filtering system for the blood. The lymphatic system consists of a network of lymph nodes, and lymph vessels found in various regions throughout the body including the face and neck.
Special formulated enzymes act on the lymph nodes to encourage a drainage effect. The lymph drainage action is felt by the client as the tightening and pulsating of the enzyme masque.
As the blood vessels and lymph nodes respond to the actions of the enzyme treatment, a peculiar effect known as the Plasmatic Effect, is produced.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
CLEASE + PRE-TREATMENT
Treatment begins with a cleanse and multi-step pre-exfoliation process which is customized depending on your skin condition and skin needs This will leave your skin feeling fresh, revitalized and a little “tingly” or warm. This pre-exfoliation process is very necessary in order to allow the Enzyme Masque to work optimally.
THE MASQUE PROCESS
Next is the application of the Enzyme Masque, this stays on for approx. 30-45 min. depending on your skin condition. The first 10 min or so feels like a thick cleanser that will start to harden -- kind of like cement. As it is drying and pulling the skin back towards your scalp, a pulsating action occurs which is the “reverse osmosis” effect drawing toxins and fluids from your skin. During this time, the enzyme masque is also removing dead skin cells, activating collagen in the skin and working your facial muscles intensely, which leaves the skin feeling and looking incredibly firm.
PLASMATIC EFFECT
The enzyme treatment promotes a new rush of fresh oxygenated blood from within the skin due to the dilated capillaries.
You can literally see this effect on the skin of the neck and face following an enzyme treatment. The capillaries stand out like a road map-proving the effects of the enzymes treatment as it goes deep enough for total dilation of the peripheral capillaries.
Redness from the Plasmatic Effect can last around 20 minutes. Other side effects are rare but can include slight redness, irritation or mild itching, temporary hyper-pigmentation and swelling for up to 24 hours. Slight flaking, dryness and peeling may be present for up to 72 hours post treatment.
POST TREATMENT
Post treatment your skin will feel incredibly smooth and supple, some redness may occur, as a result of the plasmatic effect drawing blood to the surface. A couple days post treatment the skin will appear and feel healthier and substantially more radiant.
How many do I need?
Results are noticeable from your first treatment, however a course of 3-8 sessions is recommend. Your first few treatments can be 2-4 weeks apart, then every 30 days until the skin is functioning well. Future follow up treatments can be carried out every 6-12 weeks depending on person. A series of these treatments is recommended, once your skin health is stable a maintenance program can be discussed. Your skin must be maintained, like going to the gym for your body. Regular treatments ensure your skin remains healthy, vibrant and slows the ageing process.
